COURSE SYLLABUS
Synopsis:
Beginner Transponder is a course designed to introduce beginners to transponder chip key programming. The key concepts that will be covered are
*What transponder keys are and how they work
*Step by step demonstrations of chip key programming by vehicle type
*Overview of the most common problems and how to troubleshoot them
Aims:
The aim of Beginner Transponder is to lay the foundations for chip key programming. This course is the first in a series of courses that together will provide a comprehensive understanding of the most cutting edge key programming available.
Objective:
*To present a brief history of key programming
*To explain what a transponder key is and how they work
*To explain how the key communicates with the car
*To understand what the computer is looking for in those communications
*To explain how different vehicles respond to the transponder chip
*Demonstrate key programming and common programming problems for the following vehicle families
Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep
Ford/Lincoln Mercury
Mazda
Toyota/Lexus
General Motors (Chevy, Pontiac, GMC, etc)
Nissan/Infinity
Honda/Acura
Materials:
All needed course materials will be supplied by Instructor
Course Structure:
8 hours of classroom lectures and demonstrations
10 minute break in the morning and afternoon
1 hour lunch
Assessment:
An open book multiple choice testing for understanding of course material

*Non-chip key making experience is highly recommended
